LDF: Tent London 2012

Morning my creatives! I had such a great time at the London Design Festival and to be honest, I kinda miss it. It's been super fun yet exciting exploring all the new and wonderful collections. But what I've enjoyed the most was discovering and talking to the new up-and -coming designers out there. If there's one thing I try to encourage and expose the most on my blog alongside interior design are new designers. This is one of things that the Tent show does so well! Looking around I discovered Rachel Powell, a great product designer who showed her latest collection at the show. I really adored her choice of colour palette and prints. I can see these textiles sitting well in my kitchen or even the wallpaper in a kids room to add a cute feature.

I also loved this collection by Sian Elin and was completely shocked to discover that this was her debut. Sian's collection really impressed me as I especially loved the way she worked her prints which were inspired to her travels to Israel, India and the Mediterranean. Can't wait to interview her for my blog. Tent was also my first encounter with Pitfield London, a creative cafĂ© come interiors store. Pitfield popped up at Tent supplying visitors with the best flatbreads I've her tasted and its certainly wet my appetite to discover more about the brand. I totally loved this love seat [above] by House of Eden. It can be customised and upholstered in different colourways and embroidered to suit your personal style!

Other designers which caught my creative eye were SJguest who produced these amazing textiles and cushions. I loved Sarah-Jayne's application of colour, illustrations and textiles. This is definitely a brand to watch! Thinking outside the box Room39 has applied flecks of gold speckles alongside crockery and have applied the  same design style to her textiles. I really like the freedom that the pattern has and I can see this sitting well in a funky studio or mini office.
