Wow! What a week it's been. I just got back from sunny Barbados in the West Indies after attending the wedding of family friend's Nick & Erica Jones. It was such an honour to be invited to such a beautiful and loving wedding, especially a destination wedding! All prepped in my pantone tangerine tango coloured dress [the key colour for this season] I was not prepared for the beautiful, stunning and famous wedding location. I don't know about Mr & Mrs Jones but I certainly had a thing going on with this villa. Owned by the celebrity Minnie Driver [given to her by her late father] the villa is located in St. James right next to the wonderful polo ranch.
What strikes me about this villa is the elegantly white-washed wooden ceilings. I love the fact that the wood is exposed as well as the openness and fluidity of the space. There is certainly an ethnic and natural, neutral theme here too! Cosy woods and yellow hue stones are used to add a little spice to the space too. One of my favourite elements of this space [and there are so many] is the picture display. A great way of decorating a space is to carefully construct a great display of artwork and this has been perfectly executed here.
In terms of interiors, elegance and tranquillity, this space really does speak volumes! From the colour palette, to the accessories and layout you can see that all these elements gel well together to form one unified scheme. In such a beautiful setting and a marvellous location who could not fall madly in love here! What do you think of this gorgeous villa? What features are your favourite and what do you think of the use of space?
